¿What is Thrash? Dictionary: To beat someone to pulp. Simple terms: Take Gurps character points system, add a flavor of White Wolf, REMOVE white wolf´s army of dice. Go anime. The point here The single BEST anime RPG I know. Originally a fighting game martial arts game, Thrash proved a lot more potential being capable of adapting ANY anime character as it is into the game. The system is still for a martial arts game but so is most mainstream anime anyway. ¿My reasons to such affirmation? The system is the most propituous to adapting anime characters more faithfully, in a "what you want is what you get" perspective. Unlimited character growth. As in the manga or TV shows, with the proper time the characters can get as strong as needed, and as many abilities as you originally planned. The widest selection of abilities: martial arts powers (the main thing), sorcerery, elemental powers, cyborgs, mutants, supernaturals, mecha, transformations, magical girls, aliens and even hybrids of ANY of the above. ¿Perfect? Sadly no, if the best anime game, the game mechanics can get pretty damn complicated so I don´t recommend it to introduce someone to RPGs. Second, the system is SOOO easy to abuse of, make sure your troupe is muchkin-free or you´re in for some serious headache. |
